ADMISSIONS

Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make. Students, ages 4-18, in the prime growth phases of their lives, spend forty hours a week, ten months of the year with an elementary school, middle school, or high school community who will influence their character, work ethic, compassion, mentality, and spirituality.

The question is: What is important to you?

Prospective
Parents & Students

Admission will be based upon report cards, references, admission questionnaires, interviews, and the child’s potential to perform satisfactorily. Don't panic - we believe in the ability of every child to achieve great success academically.

We are not resourced to serve children who are seeking to be admitted into special educational programs.

No student will be admitted directly following a suspension or expulsion from another school. Students that have performed poorly in the primary subjects (less than a “C”) may have difficulty in attaining a satisfactory level of academic achievement at GCS. This is not a disqualification of their admission, please note.

A

The first quarter is considered a trial period for all new students.

GCS offers flexible age enrollment for Kindergarteners based upon test results and maturity.

The administration may either advance or retain a student in a grade based upon the admission test. The child should understand that his parents have delegated their authority to the academy. Therefore, he is subject to the instruction and discipline of the teachers and Head of School while attending GCS.

Genesis Learning Academy Christian School will not discriminate based upon race, sex, color, or nation of origin. However, GCS does practice a biblical philosophy of admissions, not discrimination.

OUR CONNECTION

COMMUNITY

It takes a village to raise a child and we have a wonderful community doing just that. From the students themselves to their parents; from our staff to our donors, to our sister Christian organizations – everyone contributes to making GCS possible. We appreciate you!

PARENT INVOLVEMENT

We want to strongly encourage parent participation and involvement in the children's education experience. It is our goal to have several opportunities for parents to volunteer throughout the year.

STUDENT ENGAGEMENT

We find that students not only learn more when engaging with one another, but they also are challenged in their character, thinking, and creativity. For this cause we will have opportunities for our students to engage with their peers and supervising adults in groups that will promote God's love and their involvement in the local community.
